“Oh the Joy of Beautiful Feet.” It has been over two decades since those words changed the trajectory of my life. Those words sparked hope, joy and life into my very being and NOW, I dance, I teach, and I have become a conduit of hope, healing and restoration for the hopeless.

Kelley Brown –born and raised in Chicago, IL is a wife, mother, nana, author, licensed professional counselor, national certified counselor, certified life coach, global certified mental health first aid instructor, educator, virtuous woman, warrior, consultant, and licensed minister of dance has a passion to empower people of all ages and cultures using a variety of evidenced based modalities. Kelley is driven to help others’ live a victorious life in every area of their life. She believes that true joy only comes from the well within. Kelley is happily married to her soul mate, Reverend Travis L. Brown, an author and educator who humbly supports her passion and desire to serve others with her gift of spreading joy, hope, peace and love.

Kelley has a Master’s in Education from Strayer University and a Masters’ in Counseling from Argosy University. She is certified in Anger Management, Trauma informed Therapy and Marriage/Cooperative Parenting.

Kelley is sought after for her passion and love for teaching on mental health and the creative expression of worship through dance in the community. She has spoken on various community panels on the topic of mental health (i.e. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Alpha Psi Omega Chapter, Empowering our Families / Mental Health initiatives (May 23, 2023). Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Rho Zeta Omega Chapter. Initiative 1: Empower Our Families community event (October 29, 2022); Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Theta Omicron Omega COVID 19 Impact Town Hall Discussion (March 22, 2022). Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Mental Health Awareness Event (November 12, 2022), and multiple Joy Girl Gathering to name a few. Kelley has co-published an article in the Neighbors of Town Lake; an exclusive publication for the residents of towne lake entitled Body, Mind, and Spirit (August 2023 pg. 13). She is the State authority in adult mental health, leading the intensive community service programs across the State of Georgia at the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities in the Division of Behavioral Health in the Office of Adult Mental Health. Kelley is a lover of worship; particularly worshipping in the presence of her God - Yahweh. She loves to spend time with her family and loves to serve others. Her passions are having coffee with Christ, having cookies with love ones, and dancing.
